Well, today is off at a rather rough start. Surprise, surprise.
I've got a problem that seems to be incurable so far, and it's getting out of control. Here's the thing: No matter how much I sleep, I only get more tired.
As some of you know, I have a full-time job with rapidly varying hours, an 18 month old son, and a wife who can't drive due to her broken ankle who needs to be driven to and from work in the wee hours of the morning.
It seems like I don't even get a break anymore. I get home, put Mikey to bed (see previous post "Let Sleeping Babies Lie... OR ELSE"), and then I'm OUT for the night. Most nights, I have to wake up around 5:30am either because my wife needs to be picked up from work, or because Mikey is up and ready to start his day.
Oh, and before you go on about how I need to take naps, I hardly ever get the chance to take a nap. Whenever I take Mikey back for a nap, I end up feeling like I had been tackled by the Dallas Cowboys, after which the cheerleaders river dance on me, followed by the millions of buck-toothed fans trampling me. At least I can get a glimpse up the cheerleaders' skirts!
The point is that naps for me are VERY rare.
At any rate, I have to leave for work again. Luckily, this shift only starts at 9:00, as opposed to the 6:30 shifts I sometimes get.
